blog 14: Independent Component 1

I, Leslie Nunez, affirm that i compleated my independent component which repreents 30 hours of work.
I helped at A&R Creations, with my mentor Rosy Nunez. I helped her make a contract with a client which involved providing the decorations of a venue and church.

By doing this i learned how to work with customers and provide them something that fits their budget and needs.

It helped me understand my topic better because i now know what it is an event planner has to deal with. For example the day we set up the venue was a sunday, the church ended at 4 pm and the guest would arrive at the venue right after but we had to transfer some of the decorations from the church to the venue before the guest arrived. to fix this we had two different teams working; one was setting up the venue and the other the church. With that team work we managed to get everything done.

Blog 13: Lesson 2 Reflection

1. Positive Statement
Im proud of my activity. I think people really enjoyed it and it was really understandable.

2. Questions to Consider
       a.     What assessment would you give yourself on your Lesson 2 Presentation (self-assessment)?

I would give myself an AP.

       b.     Explain why you deserve that grade using evidence from the Lesson 2 component contract.
I think i deserve an AP because my activity really put to use what i taught the class. The only requirement i didn't meet was time so thats gonna hurt me a lot.

3. What worked for you in your Lesson 2?

My activity.

4.  (What didn't work) If you had a time machine, what would you have done differently to improve your Lesson 2?

I would read more books on my answer so i can add more slides and have more information to talk about .

5. Finding Value
What do you think your answer #2 is going to be?

Something about negotiating or time management.

Blog 10: Senior Project: The Holiday

1. It is important to consistently work on your senior project, whether it is break or we are in school. What did you over the break with your senior project? During break i tried getting in touch with different places i can do my independent component with and only one has answered and said it would be ok for me to go in for as long as i need. I also went to do mentorship hours for 2 days which is about 6 hours total.
 2. What was the most important thing you learned from what you did and why? What was the source of what you learned? The most important thing i learned was to do stuff on time. I have called many places and only one has answered so that is saying that i need to do stuff ahead on time so i wont be stuck with nothing at the end. Calling those places is the source.
3. If you were going to do a 10 question interview on questions related to answers of your EQ, who would you talk to and why? I would talk to an event planner because my topic is how to run a successful event planning business. I would ask them what has kept their business growing and what they do for it to grow.

November Blog

This past month I've been going to my mentorship, with my mom at A&R Creations. During our interview she told me that around this time business started going up because many people started to go in to start new contracts for the upcoming year. At first I didn't believe her because it would make sense that business went down with all the holiday spending but I've seen that transaction of business change during this whole month and I've gotten much more practice of dealing with families planning a quince.

Blog 9: EQ

I reviewed the rule of three for writing an EQ
a.What is the most important factor in healthy weight loss ? This EQ would be more efficient if we were told who they were targeting and how that person planned doing so.
b.What is most important factor to securing a conviction in a criminal investigation? Including more detail into the EQ would make it easier to work with and to understand. Try to include what the crime was, who did the crime and where it took place.
c.What is most important in creating a hairstyle that best satisfies a customer? Since trends change it would be helpful to include the year. Also, what age group you are targeting and the occasion it is you are creating the hairstyle for.
d.How can an Anesthesiologist best treat chronic pain? We need to know what part of the body is being treated. Alos, the treatment process you plan on using.
