April Post
On April 4th, I went on my first all day wedding
with my mentor Claudia, the owner of Enchanted Crown Events. I had the
opportunity to help Claudia and her assistant to set up the wedding. Everything
pictured below was done by us three. It was a great experience that taught me
how an event planner works and what they have to do for the client during the
event. We did run into some trouble where a glass door fell and shattered
because of how windy it was. This was a problem because that glass door has the
seating arrangement the bride had set up. Luckily, the bride was understanding
and was happy Claudia had everything on paper; I just had to direct everyone to
their tables. I look forward to joining Claudia at another event in May!

March Post
This month I've been going to my mentorship a lot since prom is coming up and a lot of girls go in looking for opinions from girls around their age. So Rosy Nunez likes having me there just in case. My mom wanted other ways to advertise her business so we decided we'd make an Instagram for the store and it has really pulled in new clients.

Blog 15: Independent Component Approval
1. For my 30 hour i plan on working with someone else on an event, not my mom this time. i was thinking maybe if i help plan prom if it would count?,
2. If i can do prom, then the event will be evidence. I will also take oictures of all the organizing and meeting held.
3. This will help me because its an event i will be helping plan, but without a professional guiding me. So in a way it'll be tougher but funner.

blog 14: Independent Component 1
I, Leslie Nunez, affirm that i compleated my independent component which repreents 30 hours of work.
I helped at A&R Creations, with my mentor Rosy Nunez. I helped her make a contract with a client which involved providing the decorations of a venue and church.

By doing this i learned how to work with customers and provide them something that fits their budget and needs.
It helped me understand my topic better because i now know what it is an event planner has to deal with. For example the day we set up the venue was a sunday, the church ended at 4 pm and the guest would arrive at the venue right after but we had to transfer some of the decorations from the church to the venue before the guest arrived. to fix this we had two different teams working; one was setting up the venue and the other the church. With that team work we managed to get everything done.
